Public broadcasting officials testified about member stations which had shared fund-raising lists with various political organizations including Republican and Democratic groups. They said that while the practice was not illegal, it was inappropriate, and that they would urge member stations to stop the practice. They also agreed to cooperate fully with the committee whose members threatened to end public funding if the practice continued. close
