Participants spoke to the convention about several issues they hoped would be part of the Reform Party platform. Doris Haddock, also known as “Granny D,” spoke about her walk across America to protest the corporate culture and called for financial reform. Paul Jacobs then called for term limits for congressmen. Dale Waters talked about the influence of special interests in Washington and the need for reform. Finally, Governor Jesse Ventura addressed the convention by telephone saying that the Reform Party should recruit good candidates and that no race was unimportant. close
