President Clinton spoke to reporters about his forthcoming trip to the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in New Zealand and about unrest in East Timor. He said that Indonesia should allow international peacekeeping forces restore order and announced that he would end military cooperation with Indonesia. He added that future economic aid was in jeopardy if the situation was not diffused. Following his remarks he answered questions from reporters. close
