Ms. Gruber talked about her book Exodus 1947: The Ship That Launched a Nation, published by Hardcover. She focused on the experiences of Holocaust survivors who boarded the ship Exodus 1947 to go to Palestine, but the ship was refused entrance by the British Navy. She focused on the exploitation of these Jewish refugees and how their experience helped form the state of Israel in 1948. After her prepared remarks she answered questions from the audience. close
