Deputy Attorney General, Eric Holder, and Assistant Director of Counter Terrorism at the FBI, Dale Watson, spoke to reporters about the higher risk of possible terrorist attacks in the U.S. during the holiday season and the millennium celebrations. They mentioned the recent arrest of a foreign national allegedly attempting to smuggle bomb-making materials from Canada into Washington state. They asked all citizens to be more vigilant in large gatherings and promised to keep the populace informed of possible danger.
