Veterans' Affairs Department officials talked with reporters about preparations they have made for any year 2000 computer problems. Veterans were assured that they will receive their monthly checks and that the Veterans' Administration hospitals have no Y2K problems. Mr. Koskinen reported that the Information Coordination Center has begun its official Y2K briefings. He reported that no problems have been reported from around the U.S. After their prepared remarks the participants responded to media questions. close
