In her weekly meeting with members of the press, Attorney General Janet Reno answered questions about the case involving the six-year-old Cuban boy, Elian Gonzalez. While admitting that the Justice Department was engaged in an ongoing dialogue with various members of Congress regarding the child’s disposition, Ms. Reno insisted that the Justice Department had not as yet reached a conclusion about the child’s citizenship status. close
