The participants talked about the trends and consequences of crime in the black community. They talked about quality of life for all citizens and rehabilitation of young men released from prison. They also talked about solutions to solving problems such as police-community tensions, racially-charged situations, drug addiction, and juvenile violent crimes. After their prepared remarks the panelists responded to questions from the audience. Deputy Mayor Christian spoke in place of Mayor Washington. The meeting opened with a prayer by Rev.
