George Washington's War At Williamsburg Booksellers in Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia, Mr. Chadwick spoke about his book George Washington’s War: The Forging of a Revolutionary Leader and the American Presidency, published by Sourcebooks. The author writes that George Washington’s leadership during the battles of the American Revolution led to the founding of the nation and his eventual election as president. Mr. Chadwick argues that the biggest problem facing the colonies was not the British Empire, but the inexperience of the colonies. It was George Washington who created a powerful military and an ideological direction for the country while serving as a general in the military. After prepared remarks, Mr. Chadwick took questions from the audience. close
