President Bill Clinton and Jay Leno delivered tongue-in-cheek speeches about current political issues and about President Clinton’s future after the presidency. As part of their presentations each showed video parodies of President Clinton and other politicians. In an earlier segment of the correspondents' dinner a spoof of the NBC television show West Wing was performed by the show’s actors plus White House press secretary Joe Lockhart and former press secretary Dee Dee Myers.
