The British House of Commons conducted an adjournment debate on the British government’s support of the United Nations Security Council’s resolutions concerning Iraqi occupation of Kuwait. Prime Minister Major delivered the government’s position that Iraq’s occupation of Kuwait was illegal and full implementation of the United Nations resolution allowing the use of force in the liberation of Kuwait was justified and necessary. Other members of the House of Commons delivered remarks on the issue at hand. close
