Ron Haskins, majority staff director on the House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Human Resources, and Thomas Sugar, administrative aide for Senator Evan Bayh (D-IN), talked about proposed legislation designed to help fathers. The legislation would promote marriage, increase employment, and instill better parenting skills through grant programs and instituting various parenting projects in cities. After their remarks they answered questions from the audience. close
