Ms. Browner announced that the Environmental Protection Agency would phase out the pesticide Chlorpyrifos, sold as Dursban or Lorsban, which is common to several household products such as flea collars and insecticides. She said the pesticide was potentially dangerous to children and that it should no longer be manufactured by the end of the year. After her comments she answered questions from reporters. close
