Mr. Carter talked about his book Stonewall: The Riots That Sparked the Gay Revolution, published by St. Martin’s Press. The author gave a detailed account of the riots at The Stonewall Inn, a gay bar in Greenwich Village, New York. The riots were sparked by a series of raids by police in June of 1969. The author spoke about the background of the bar, the specifics of what led up to the events, and the aftermath of the rebellion.
