United State Senate session on January 23, 1991 that reached unanimous-consent time agreements providing for the consideration of S. Con. Res. 4,5,6, condemning the Iraqi attack on Israel, demanding Iraq abide by the Geneva Convention regarding POW’s, and condemning Soviet violence against the people of the Baltic States, and for consideration of H.R. 3 and 4, increasing the rates of disability compensation for veterans, and extending the IRS deadline for troops serving in the Persian Gulf. A unanimous-consent agreement was reached providing for the consideration of S. 238, to provide for the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to obtain independent scientific review of the available scientific evidence regarding associations between diseases and exposure to dioxin and other chemical compounds in herbicides. close
