Following the ceremony in which he was awarded the Medal of Freedom, Rev. Jesse Jackson answered questions from reporters outside of the White House. He commented on the selection of Senator Joseph Lieberman as Democratic vice presidential nominee. He also commented on policy differences with the administration and the Middle East peace process.
