Investigators presented their final report on the investigation into the crash of TWA flight 800. All 230 passengers and crew aboard the aircraft were killed soon after the flight took off from New York on its way to Paris on July 17, 1996. After nearly four years of work, the investigators concluded that a short circuit in wiring in a fuel tank ignited an explosion. They ruled out theories that a bomb or missile had caused the accident. close
