Kathleen Krull talked about two of her latest books, Lives of Extraordinary Women: Rulers, Rebels and What the Neighbors Thought and Lives of the Presidents: Fame, Shame and What the Neighbors Thought, both published by Harcourt Inc. The author enjoys making history fun and interesting for children and in Lives of the Presidents she covers all of the American Presidents from George Washington to Bill Clinton in a unique fashion. She talks about how George Washington would be considered a superhero today, how Abraham Lincoln could make a cat laugh, how Teddy Roosevelt played hide and seek with his 6 children in the White House and how John F. Kennedy barked like a seal. In Lives of Extraordinary Women she explores the lives of 20 of the world’s most powerful women. She further talks about how Israeli Prime Minister, Golda Meir washed other people’s laundry when she needed money and later went on to raise $50 million in one night, how First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt wished she could close
