Evelio Grillo talks about his autobiography Black Cuban, Black American: A Memoir, published by Arte Publico Press as part of the Recovering the U.S. Hispanic Literary Heritage series. Mr. Grillo, who served in World War II, spent his childhood in Cuba. Ms. Gibson talks about her self-published autobiography Forbearance. Ms. Gibson, a nursing supervisor, is a native of Coconut Grove. After their remarks the authors answered question from the audience. close
