Florida legislators heard testimony from legal experts and citizens about a potential special session of the State Legislature to pick presidential electors. Private citizens, mostly representing Democratic Party interests, described their election day experiences and urged legislators not to hold a special session. Several lawyers also warned that a special session resulting in a legislative selection of presidential electors would set a dangerous Constitutional precedent. close
