Mr. Shaara talked about the legacy of his father’s historical novel The Killer Angels. Michael Shaara wrote The Killer Angels in 1974 and it was awarded the 1975 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. Jeff Shaara completed the story of the Civil War by writing Gods and Generals and The Last Full Measure, published as a trilogy by Ballantine Books. Mr. Shaara talked about his life, his career and his father. He talked about the writing and research process, the art of storytelling and the characters in his books. After his remarks he answered questions from members of the audience. close
