The Virtue of Prosperity
Mr. D’Souza talked about his book The Virtue of Prosperity: Finding Values in an Age of Techno-Affluence, published by Free Press. He described the current economic climate as one of “unprecedented prosperity with the first mass affluent class in world history.” He noted that the new economy has created divisions, however. He warned that technological capitalism and the new wealth it has created must be balanced against the “enormous inequalities that undermine families and communities and destroy our cherished values.” Mr. D’Souza spoke about the process of researching and writing the book. close
