Ms. Aminatta Forna talked about her book The Devil That Danced on the Water, published by Grove Atlantic. When she was ten, Ms. Forna’s father, an opposition leader in Sierra Leone, was executed by the government of Siaka Stevens. Ms. Forna describes her memories of seeing her father being taken away by government security forces, and talks about how, years later, she uncovered what exactly happened to him. Following the talk, Ms. Forna took questions from the audience. close
