Former Secretary of State Warren Christopher talked about some of the themes of his book Chances of a Lifetime: A Memoir, published by Scribner. In his book, Mr. Christopher describes his experiences in the public sphere over the course of the last fifty years, including his work for presidents Lyndon Johnson, Jimmy Carter, and Bill Clinton. This interview covered a wide range of subjects, including Mr. Christopher’s impressions of the Supreme Court’s decision on the Florida vote count, his investigation of the Rodney King incident, and his thoughts on politics in the Middle East and the ongoing search for peace between Israel and the Palestinians. close
