Marc Cooper discussed his book Pinochet and Me, published by Verso Books. Mr. Cooper served as translator to Chilean President Salvador Allende until the 1973 coup. In his book and talk, he reflected on the impact of Pinochet’s rule on Chilean society. He also discussed the ongoing controversy about prosecuting Pinochet for human rights abuses perpetrated during his regime. After his presentation, Mr. Cooper answered questions from members of the audience. close
