Daniel McGroarty talked about his book Trinnietta Gets a Chance: Six Families and Their School Choice Experience, published by The Heritage Foundation. The book makes an argument for school choice by telling the stories of six inner-city families who were able to send their children to private schools by taking advantage of the voucher system. In his book, Mr. McGroarty looks at the school choice issue from the parents' perspective. He researched school voucher programs in Cleveland, Milwaukee, and San Antonio. Two of the parents profiled also spoke. After their remarks, the speakers answered questions from the audience. close
