The House convened, returning from a recess continuing the legislative day of March 7.

The House received a communication from the Honorable Richard A. Gephardt. Mr. Gephardt notified the House of his designation of the following Member to be available for service on an investigative subcommittee of the Committee on Standards of Official Conduct: Mr. Clyburn (SC).

The Chair announced the Speaker’s appointment of the following Member of the House to serve on investigative subcommittees of the Committee on Standards of Official Conduct for the 107th Congress: Mr. Hulshof (MO).

Considered under the provisions of rule H. Res. 79.

Rule provides for consideration of S.J. Res. 6 with 1 hour of general debate. Previous question shall be considered as ordered without intervening motions except motion to recommit. Measure will be considered read. Bill is closed to amendments.
