Author Adrian House discussed his book Francis of Assisi: A Revolutionary Life, published by Hidden Spring Books. The book discussed the transformation of Francis Assisi (1182-1226) from socialite, merchant and soldier to his later roles as a linguist, poet, humanitarian, ecologist, orator, evangelist and mediator. Mr. House also traced the influence Francis of Assisi had on later thinkers and set Assisi’s life within the social, economic, military and religious context at work in Italy at the turn of the 11th century. After his presentation, Mr. House answered questions submitted by members of the audience. close
