Doris Haddock talked about her book Granny D: Walking Across America in My 90th Year, published by Villard. Ms. Haddock began the journey as a personal attempt to raise awareness about the issue of campaign finance reform. During her walk from Los Angeles, California to the steps of the Capitol in Washington, D.C., Ms. Haddock kept a diary in which she made daily entries. The book also serves as an account of the author’s lifetime of activism as a writer, speaker, and seasoned activist. During the presentation some slides were shown. After the presentation the author answered questions from members of the audience. Ms. Swedlund also spoke about campaign finance reform. close
