At a briefing by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration on the Atlantic Hurricane Season Outlook participants spoke to reporters about the forecast for the 2001 hurricane season and about prediction and detection methods. They said that computer models predicted a normal season with one to two storms making landfall in the U.S. Following their remarks they answered questions from reporters. close
