Richard Labunski talked about his book The Second Constitutional Convention: How the American People Can Take Back Their Government, published by Marley and Beck Press. The book focuses on Article 5 of the Constitution, which allows for an alternative method by which amendments can be proposed -- a Constitutional Convention. He pointed out that all 27 Amendments to the Constitution have been proposed through Congress and for 213 years of American history there has never been a second convention. He believes that the American people should bypass Congress and launch a movement for a Second Constitutional Convention when Congress will not seriously consider amendments that need to be proposed. After his prepared remarks he answered audience questions. close
