Mr. Neal, a former White House correspondent, talked about his book Harry & Ike: The Partnership That Remade the Postwar Period, published by Scribner. The book is about the relationship between Harry Truman and Dwight Eisenhower. Mr. Neal argues that earlier depictions of the relationship put forth by historians Merle Miller and Stephen Ambrose are inaccurate. After his presentation, Mr. Neal answered questions from members of the audience. close
