Bear McConnell, director of the Central Asia Task Force at the U.S. Agency for International Development, spoke to reporters about U.S. efforts to provide humanitarian to Afghan civilians displaced by warfare. Among the issues he addressed were the timetable for action, the problems of transporting relief supplies, and the status of aid to date. Following his remarks he answered questions from the reporters. close
