Mr. Jimenez talked about his book Breaking Through, published by Houghton Mifflin, with a group of third and fourth graders from nearby elementary schools. The book is one in a series of memoirs by the author, this one covering his teenage years growing up in California. Mr. Jimenez is the son of migrant workers whose family was apprehended by immigration and naturalization authorities and forced to leave California, eventually returning. After the presentation Mr. Jimenez answered questions from members of the audience. close
