As part of an annual debate program, participants debated whether the U.S should pay reparations for slavery. Among the issues they addressed were the current state of race relations, the social value of reparations, various alternatives to reparations, and the potential impact of reparations on American culture. Following prepared arguments members of the audience voiced their views. The audience voted against the resolution. close
