Professor Sacks talked about and read from his book, Uncle Tungsten, published by Alfred A. Knopf. The book is a memoir about his youth in London during World War II. Uncle Tungsten refers to Professor Sacks' Uncle Dave who owned a light bulb factory (the filaments were made of tungsten, a durable metal) that the young Sacks would often visit. Professor Sacks answered questions from members of the audience. close
