Question Time British Prime Minister Tony Blair took questions from members of his party

and the opposition on Britain’s tax-funded National Health Service. He and

his governing Labour Party have pledged to reduce waiting lists for hospital

treatments and have established targets for local health authorities to

achieve. On Wednesday, the National Audit Office, a government watchdog

released a report charging some hospitals with manipulating their figures.

Members also discussed the continuing problems of Railtrack, Britain’s

national rail system which recently went into receivership but Tuesday

announced an operating profit of about $500 million dollars. close
