Michael Novak talked about his book, On Two Wings: Humble Faith and Common Sense at the American Founding, published by Encounter Books. On Two Wings argues that religious faith was of paramount importance to the founders of the U.S.. Mr. Novak refers to the Biblical citations, style, and examples that are woven through the speeches and extensive writings of the Founding Fathers as evidence of their religious tendencies. This differs from the opinions of many historians how have argued that the Founding Fathers were notably secular.
