From the home of British Embassy Charge d’Affaires Tony Brenton, Mr. Stanley Wells talked about his book Shakespeare For All Time, published by Oxford University Press. He was interviewed by Paul Edmondson, director of education for the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. Mr. Wells, chairman of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, talked about William Shakespeare’s role in society since his death in the eighteenth century. The author also discussed the life of William Shakespeare, including his writing styles, competition with other writers, and stories about the casts portraying his characters onstage. Mr. Wells answered audience members' questions. close
