Columbian Senator Ingrid Betancourt talked about her memoir, Until Death Do Us Part: My Struggle to Reclaim Colombia, published by HarperCollins. The book criticized the crime and corruption in her country. She described the reaction of the Colombian government to her book and answered questions following her remarks.

Senator Betancourt, a member of the Green Oxygen Party, has been both a congresswoman and a senator in the government of Colombia. She was running for president at the time of this program. Three weeks after this program, she was kidnapped for 6 years by the FARC. close
