The association announced the winners of several awards for children’s literature. David Wiesner won the Caldecott Medal for children’s book illustration for his new interpretation of The Three Little Pigs. Linda Sue Park won the Newbery Medal for children’s literature for A Single Shard, an historical novel set in 12th-century Korea. Other awards announced during the ceremony include the Coretta Scott King Award, the Michael L. Printz Award, and the Robert F. Sibert Award. close
