The author interviewed Presidents Ford, Carter, Clinton, and George H.W. Bush in order to gain insight into the atmosphere on the plane during their respective terms. Mr. Walsh, who as senior White House correspondent for U.S. News and World Report made hundreds of trips on the plane himself, also interviewed other travelers and crew members. During his presentation he showed slides. Mr. Albertazzie then recounted some of his experiences as a pilot.
