Mr. Jeff Benedict talked about his book No Bone Unturned: The Adventures of a Top Smithsonian Forensic Scientist and the Legal Battle for America’s Oldest Skeletons, published by HarperCollins. He described the behind-the-scenes activities of forensic anthropologist Douglas Owsley. Then Dr. Owsley, the subject of the book, delivered a presentation on his work in Waco, Texas after the clash between ATF and the Branch Davidians. He also showed slides of his work in Kennewick, Washington after the discovery of the skeletal remains of a 9,600-year-old man ("Kennewick Man"). A question and answer session followed the presentations. close
