Pentagon officials spoke to reporters in the Pentagon on events in the Persian Gulf on the second day following the cease-fire in the Persian Gulf war. Mr. Williams said the meeting between coalition forces officials and Iraqi military officials to work out the details of the cease-fire would take place the following day at an undetermined location. Lt. Gen. Kelly announced that no formal cease-fire would exist in the Persian Gulf war until Iraq complied with all parts of the United Nations resolutions concerning Kuwait. He went on to recite the daily statistics of the war, and in response to a reporter’s question, said the return of U.S. and coalition forces' P.O.W.'s would be the top priority in the meeting between coalition and Iraqi officials. Other topics to be brought up in the meeting would include the United Nations resolutions, the return of the bodies of U.S. dead, the location of land and sea mines, and reparations. close
