Still Alive: A Holocaust Girlhood Remembered
The event inaugurated Montgomery College’s annual Holocaust Commemoration.
Ruth Kluger discussed her memoir Still Alive: A Holocaust Girlhood Remembered, published by The Feminist Press, with Joan Ringelheim. They talked about her childhood in Nazi-occupied Vienna, Austria, during the 1940s and her struggle to survive after being deported to a series of concentration camps. Following their discussion, the author read passages from her book and took questions from members of the audience.
