Senator Clinton talked about how the Supreme Court legitimized Congress' powers and scope concerning civil rights legislation in the 1960s. She said that in recent decades the decisions from a handful of cases before the Court has revised the balance of the Separation of Powers in government by declaring some of Congress' laws unconstitutional. The American Constitution Society is a group of students and lawyers who seek “to counter the narrow conservative vision that today dominates legal debate” in classrooms and courtrooms. close
