Elizabeth Vrato talked about her book The Counselors: Conversations with 18 Courageous Women Who Have Changed the World, published by Running Press. As part of her talk, Ms. Vrato discussed some of the people she profiles in the book, including Supreme Court Justices Sandra Day O’Connor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Janet Reno, and Patricia Schroeder. Prior to her presentation, Ms. Vrato’s mentor, Philadelphia attorney Jerry Shestack, gave a brief speech about the value of mentoring. Ms. Vrato answered questions from members of the audience following her presentation. The event was held at Friends Select School in Philadelphia. close
