Attorney General John Ashcroft announced the indictment of four persons for terrorist activities who were associated with Omar Abdel-Rahman, who was convicted for his involvement in the 1993 bombings of the World Trade Center. Among those indicted was his lawyer, Lynne Stewart, for allowing communications between Abdel-Rahman and terrorist cells. Mr. Ashcroft said that there were no apparent connections to September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Following the announcements he answered questions from the reporters. close
