Author, Amy Nathan, talked about her book "Yankee Doodle Gals: Women Pilots of World War II". In the book she tells the story of the Women Air Force Service Pilots (WASPs) who flew during World War II. They weren’t allowed to fly in combat but they contributed to the war in other ways, such as doing test flights on repaired planes and playing the part of enemy pilots in training exercises. close
