Marilyn Thompson talked about her book The Killer Strain: Anthrax and a Government Exposed, published by HarperCollins. She described the effects anthrax had on the United States and the government during the breakouts on Capitol Hill in late 2001. She explained U.S. government actions to thwart the spread of the lethal germ and the new process of regulating the handling and processing of U.S. mail. Ms. Thompson also talked about other bio-terrorist threats in the world and took questions from members of the audience. close
